Introducing the Archived Book Collection (Coming Early March 2026!)
Neopians, a brand new gallery has opened its doors. The Archived Book Collection is here, and it’s a cosy new place to collect and display Archive Books, show them off to other users, and customise your shelf to match your style.
Before you start dusting off your library card
We’ve seen the questions, so here’s the quick heads-up: your existing library of readable books won’t connect to this collection. Archive Books are a separate, display-only collectible, and they can’t be read to your pets or count toward the Neopian Book Award.
That said, we haven’t forgotten about your pet’s academic achievements. A modernised, mobile-friendly upgrade to the Book Award and reading tracker is still in development, and we’ll share more details when we can.
What are Archive Books?
Archive Books are special collectibles made for the Archived Bookshelf. Each Archive Book belongs to a set, and completing a full set will earn special rewards.
You may spot Archive Books appearing in different corners of Neopia through events, gameplay, and other surprises. They can also be bought, sold, and traded like regular items.
When you’re ready to add one, head to your Inventory and send it to your Archived Bookshelf, similar to adding stamps to an album. Just be careful: once an Archive Book is added to your Archived Book Collection, it becomes a permanent part of your shelf and can’t be returned to your inventory.
Customise your Archive Bookshelf
Ready to make your shelf feel like home? Bookshelf customisation items are available in the NC Mall, including colour kits and themed décor kits like plants and plushies.
To help everyone jump in and try customisation right away, the Colourful Bookshelf Kit is free to claim in the NC Mall.
