A Collective Effort to Combat Cheating
Neopians, it’s time to take a stand! We’re rolling out Neopian Task Force: Play Fair!, a campaign dedicated to keeping Neopia fun, fair, and free from cheaters.
The Neopian Task Force Rises
This is more than just an update—it’s a collaborative mission across all of Neopia to ensure a level playing field for all Neopians. Every branch of TNT is working together to identify, prevent, and take decisive action against unfair gameplay.
This is a collective effort to crack down on botting, score manipulation, exploit abuse, real-world trading and other forms of cheating.
Our Pledge
To uphold the integrity of Neopia, we are pledging to implement several key initiatives:
📝 Updated and Clear Site Rules
We’re revising our site rules to be clearer and more transparent, ensuring that every player understands what is and isn’t allowed.
🚨 New 'Report A Player' Ticket Category
A dedicated and direct channel for players to report suspicious activity or offensive behaviour, making it easier for us to take action.
How To Make A Report:
- Submit a request via our Help Center here
- Select category ‘Report A Player’
- You may include all the information you have regarding the activity or incident. This can be neomails, messages, trade/auction dates and time, usernames, place of activity etc.
- Click submit!
Important notes:
- We do not accept and are unable to verify external screenshots.
- You will not be informed regarding the investigation outcome.
- False reports will be penalised.
- You must register an account with Zendesk to submit tickets.
🔍 Proactive Monitoring and Enforcement
We’re stepping up our efforts to detect and address unfair gameplay before it spreads, ensuring a more balanced experience for all. We can't give too much away, but we've got a close eye on certain site functions and games that are being abused.
🔑 Combating Account Hacking
Strengthening security measures and refining internal processes to protect player accounts from unauthorized access.
🤖 Fighting Bots and Automation
Enhancing detection and prevention tools to crack down on bot usage and automated gameplay that disrupts the Neopian economy.
We’re stepping up with better monitoring, stricter enforcement, and community education on why fair play matters. But we can’t do this alone—we need you!
How You Can Help
The Neopian Task Force isn’t just TNT—it’s the entire Neopets community coming together to protect the game we all love. Here’s how you can get involved and make a difference:
Play Fair
Every Neopian is responsible for maintaining a fair and balanced game. Using exploits, bots, third-party programs, manipulating TNT for account access/pets or any other form of cheating is strictly prohibited. If you are found guilty of using these methods, your account will be permanently lost. Please read our updated Site Rules!
Report Suspicious Activity
If you come across anything that seems off—whether it’s a suspicious trade, an account acting oddly, or someone selling assets offsite—report it! Your vigilance helps us take action against cheaters and maintain the integrity of the game.
Say No to Real-World Trading
Buying or selling Neopets assets outside of the game—including Neopoints, items, pets, accounts, or Neocash—hurts Neopia’s economy and is strictly against the rules. These transactions often lead to hacked accounts, scams, and unfair advantages that harm the entire community. By refusing to engage in real-world trading, you’re helping to keep Neopets safe and fair for everyone.
Spread the Word
A strong community starts with awareness. Share these guidelines with Neofriends, Neoboard discussions, and guildmates to remind each other so their accounts are not at stake!
Together, we can protect Neopia and ensure it remains a fun and fair place for all players. 💙
