An enervating grey has been sweeping across the land for far too long, leaving fixtures of Neopia ashen shadows of their former selves. Meridell, Brightvale, Kiko Lake, Neopia Central, and the Lost Desert have all been greyed out, falling prey to Vira and her army of Shades. Now, even the storied walls of Altador buckle as the city is besieged.

Luxinia and Baelia pull the Grey Painter into his own memories, witnessing how Ozzy became this twisted artist in a last-ditch attempt to understand and get through to him. Can they convince him to drop his brush before it’s too late? Is there anything that can stop Vira in her tracks? And more importantly, how will the pernicious puppeteer responsible for orchestrating this entire catastrophe react to our heroes attempting to thwart her well-laid plans? All of Neopia anxiously holds their breath, awaiting the thrilling conclusion to The Void Within plot in Episode 3, Pentimento of the Painted!

Now that the plot has resumed, a few different activities will be available in the first chapter today! Advance through Chapter 12 by reading comics, dialogue, and the newly added short stories. You’ll also have to solve several jigsaw-style puzzles to help Luxinia sort through scattered fragments and unlock viewable memories. Don’t forget to collect your Void essence, and keep your eyes peeled for a new challenger at the end of the chapter. As future chapters are released, new activities and battledome opponents will be rolled out along with them!

New Foes in the Battledome

The Grand Finale

Episode 3, the Pentimento of the Painted, will wrap up the Void Within plot with special focus on culminating the character arcs of both Baelia and Nyx. As characters new and old face transformative challenges, the world of Neopia itself will also emerge from this plot changed...
