Neopets Battle Pass Update
As Battle Passes become integrated into more on-site events, we want to be transparent with the community about how they fit alongside Premium and how the two experiences are intended to work together.
Because Battle Passes are still new for Neopets, we have not yet made a final long-term decision on whether every pass will be included as a Premium perk. We know players may wonder what to expect from event to event, so rather than leave that unclear, we want to share our current approach for the rest of the year!
For this year’s remaining events, we’ll be trying a mix of Battle Pass formats:
Battle Pass Included with Premium:
- Festival of Fears Halloween Event (October)
- Neopets Birthday Event (November)
Separate Pass
- Winter Starlight Celebration (December)
This deliberate mix is so we can learn from the events to continue to design, test, and understand what gameplay is accessible, rewarding, and fair to the community.
One important part of this design process we are also monitoring is prize value. A Battle Pass that is included with Premium and a Battle Pass that is purchased separately may not always have the same reward structure, because the way a pass is offered affects how its rewards are planned. We are still balancing this carefully as we continue refining the Battle Pass and rewards track system.
We’re also exploring and open to different possibilities for the future such as discounted options for Premium users, different reward track, and other alternatives, so most importantly, we want to hear from the community!
