Let the 2026 Altador Cup Begin
The long-awaited return of your favourite summer sporting event, the Altador Cup, is here! King Altador has made some changes to the tournament, including the return of some old avatars, the inauguration of a brand new team, a new game, a Challenge Track, and more! Keep reading to find out what’s to come.
Altador Cup XX: What’s New
- Press Tour: Starting today, answer trivia to earn prize points early! There might even be a streak bonus for avid quizzers…
- Bracket System: The traditional round-robin format will be replaced with a new three-round bracket system. Teams will be randomly paired in the first two rounds, with wins and losses determining their final brackets before each bracket’s teams face one another in Round 3.
- Shorter Timeline: The tournament will last a total of 9 days, with final winners announced on July 16th.
- New Team: Team Neopia Central makes its inaugural debut this year, so make sure you don’t miss their fiery introductions during the press tour.
- Balanced Gameplay: The previous Ranking System has been omitted this year in favor of new achievements, so players can enjoy the rewards and fun without the stress of the grind. New anti-botting measures are also in place to keep the competition fair and engaging.
- Achievements: Completing new achievements, listed on the tournament page, will give bonus prize points and item rewards. Complete all five for a new avatar!
- Challenge-Track: A new battle-pass style system that rewards prizes based on the points you've earned.
- Staff Tournament: Due to staff members needing time to recover from The Void and some, *ahem* alleged complaints to HR about “getting too competitive” (whatever that means), the Staff Tournament will not be returning this year.

Expanded Rewards, New Progression
The Challenge Track is a battlepass-style system that tracks the points you've earned during the Altador Cup. The more points you earn, the more prizes you can win.
All players will have access to the "Challenge Track,” and an expanded track known as the “Champion’s Track” can be unlocked using an Altador Cup XX Champion Track Pass, purchasable with Neocash.
Premium subscribers will have automatic access to the upgraded Champion’s Track!
