The anticipation is through the roof as Neopians across the globe prepare for Altador Cup XIX. This year’s tournament promises to be more thrilling than ever with the addition of a brand-new competitor: Team Dacardia! Are you ready? Sign-ups are finally open!
Looking back, last year’s Altador Cup XVIII saw Team Virtupets claiming the coveted first-place podium, with Kreludor and Maraqua securing 2nd and 3rd places, respectively. While there are no changes to the rosters of the existing teams this year, the inclusion of Team Dacardia marks a significant shift in the competition. With 19 teams now vying for glory, prepare for unpredictable twists, unbelievable upsets, and a showdown so fierce it'll make even Dr. Sloth sweat buckets!

At long last, Team Dacardia is making their groundbreaking Altador Cup debut! After years of building up to the challenge, they’re ready to rock the very foundations of the competition and take the Altador Cup by storm. Inexperienced though they may be, they’ve forged an unbreakable bond and constructed countless plays to help them get the job done. Victory is assured… as long as they don’t trip over any Crabby-bots!

Get ready to Sling some Slushies, and play intense Yooyuball! On top of rebalancing game caps and rankings, say goodbye to those pesky Slushie Slinger colour mishaps and trophy glitches! How to Play
Signing Up
Head over to the Altador Cup Colosseum where you'll find all the participating teams. Click on any team icon to learn more about them. Keep an eye out for the sign-up countdown – once it hits zero, you can officially choose your team and start playing.
Choosing Your Team
Once you’ve decided on a team, simply click and join the team. After that, it's time to play the Altador Cup games, earn points, and support your team's journey to glory!
Understanding the Altador Cup
The Altador Cup is a thrilling competition centred around the fast-paced game of Yooyuball. Each match lasts 3 minutes, where two teams battle it out to score the most points by slinging Yooyus into the opponent's goal. After the final whistle, the team with the highest score wins.
The tournament unfolds in two stages:
- Round Robin: Every team faces off against each other once.
- Finals: Based on the Round Robin results, teams are divided into three brackets (top 6, middle 6, and bottom 6). Matches then occur within these brackets.
Understanding the Games Cap
In order for games to qualify, a particular score needs to be sent. Sending a lower score than required will not help your team or increase your rank. Each game has a limit on how many points it can give you for the day. This keeps things fair for everyone. Once you reach that limit, playing the game more won't earn you extra points. You can still play the game, but it won’t help your team's score.
How to Win
The team with the most points at the end of the Altador Cup is crowned the champion. Every game you play earns points for your chosen team. Remember, the Altador Cup is a team effort. Even if you're winning lots of games, your teammates might not be playing as much while other teams might be playing even harder! So be sure to encourage your peers and support your team as one!
Orion’s Mysterious Side Quest
Will the games run smoothly, or will the grey curse taking over Neopia have something else in mind? Join Orion, the fortune teller, on an epic adventure as he hands out mysterious quests with mind-bending clues and magical rewards exclusively for participants of the tournament. While the Neopets Plot: The Void Within is actively ongoing during the Altador Cup, remember that you must be signed up in order to be able to participate in Orion's mysterious quest!
