Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing Neopets caretakers in our community!

I would like to share some updates on what we have been working on lately, as so much of the past five months has been shaped by your feedback, your reports, and your unwavering passion for making Neopets better.

We hope you have been enjoying the return of the final episode of The Void Within plot. This journey has been a massive undertaking, and candidly, we underestimated the sheer volume of work and resources required to launch a plot of this scale. Along the way, we navigated shifting development priorities and legacy technical hurdles that slowed our progress, leading us to adjust our scope as we went. Despite these challenges, our team worked tirelessly behind the scenes, fueled by Borovan and a shared determination to deliver the plot you deserve. I am incredibly proud of all of TNT for pushing through two hiatuses and countless challenges to finally bring this vision to life.

We have learned a great deal from this process. It has reinforced the vital importance of fixing our backend systems before delivering projects of this magnitude. In addition to the plot, we have been working hard to fortify those foundations. Recently, we expanded Pet Slots for everyone, strengthened blocking tools, improved collectible drop rates, and resolved long-standing Battledome PvP item-stealing issues. We also introduced features like the NC Mall Capsule Preview and the Archived Book Collection to make everyday experiences more enjoyable. While these may not be flashy updates, they are meaningful improvements that came directly from our conversations with you and our Community Ambassadors.

Regarding community safety, our Neopian Task Force has frozen over 15,000 accounts tied to botting activity over the past few months. Simultaneously, we have improved response times for account recovery and pet protection cases. We also made sure to leave space for the joy that brings us together, from the return of Lovestruck and the Enchanted Egg Hunt to meeting many of you at GDC. Seeing the excitement around our Gong Cha collaboration reminds us that Neopia is more than just features and fixes. This is the community that continues to motivate us every day.

Looking ahead, we have a wealth of exciting events on the horizon. The Altador Cup will begin shortly after the plot concludes, we will be attending SDCC, and for the first time ever, we will be having a Pop-Up event in NeoYork, more details to come!

​I also want to take this opportunity to thank our Community Ambassadors for their vital contributions over the past year. As we wrap up the current program, applications for the next term will open this coming June. Thank you for your feedback, your patience, and your passion. Your voices shape the direction we take, and we remain committed to listening and improving.

New in Neopia

As we wrap up the second half of this year, there are some things to look forward to both on and off-site. From prize pool updates and page conversions to Neopets' first-ever IRL pop-up store and SDCC 2026, keep reading to get an overview of what’s coming up.

The Void Within

Drakara lays siege to Faerieland atop Vocivus, dragging Ozzy along with her in chains. The grey Yurble watches helplessly as Drakara defeats Fyora, overwhelming the Faerie Queen with grey before shoving her from the balcony. As Fyora tumbles through the air, her wings too weak from the grey spreading across her to even flutter, all of Neopia wonders the same thing. Could this be the end of Faerieland as we know it?

If Neopia itself is to survive, it will need heroes to rise to the occasion and help defend it! Are your pets ready to step into the arena and protect this vibrant world from the encroaching grey alongside Nyx and Baelia? Be warned, though, no matter how prepared you may think you are, several surprises still await you within the last few chapters of the Void Within…
 

Community Ambassador Program Update 

 As the second Community Ambassador Program cohort finishes their year of service, we will be opening new applications in June! Keep an eye on the Community Ambassador Program portal or New Features page for updates.

Prize Pool Updates

The wedges in the NC Archives Wheel have been replaced! Activate an NC Archives Fortune Cookie from the NC mall to spin and receive a retired NC item from events past, such as Haunted Mansion, Stocking Stufftacular, NC Mall Birthday Wish Candles, 13 Days of Trick-or-Treat, and more!

Speaking of Prize Pools, something unsettlingly spooky will be happening soon in the Haunted Woods… Be sure to keep up with your Haunted Woods Hunt Daily to discover any new items! And remember, a Fester Detector from the NC Mall will aid your search and guarantee a Rare Item prize!

Safety Deposit Box Update

Good news for Packrats, we’re working on updating the Safety Deposit Box page! Here’s a quick look at some planned improvements:

• View up to 90 items per page
• New sorting options
• Toggle between grid and list view
• “Favourite” items
• Move items directly to Shop, Gallery, Closet, Donate, or Trading Post
• Send items to Neofriends directly
• New Styling-Studio related categories 

NC Mall & Styling Studio

• New NC Mall Collectible Series: Naia the Fountain Faerie’s very own signature hairstyle is the first installment of the new Fabulous Faerie’s collectible series. Remember to collect each one every month to get the sixth special bonus item!
• Retired & Pet Day Mini Mystery Capsules: Celebrate your favourite Neopets with themed mini mystery capsules for Lupe, Hissi,  Moehog, Koi, and Yurble Day! In addition, look forward to a Retired Pet Day Mega Mystery Capsule that contains items from all of last year's pet days!

Neopets at SDCC & in New York

We are excited to confirm that Neopets will be returning to SDCC 2026 in July! For our friends on the East Coast…we haven’t forgotten you. Save the date, as Neopets will be opening our first-ever pop-up store in New York City from August 21st to August 23rd. Keep an eye on our social media and newsletters for future updates about both events.

Another magical month in Neopia, made better with Community Meetups.
