After wrapping up the beach party at SDCC, Neopets is heading to New York this month for our first-ever pop-up store! From a Customisation Contest Spotlight overhaul to a brand new chapter in Tales of Dacardia,  read on for everything you need to know happening in and around Neopia this month.

Welcome to Neo York

Neopets has partnered with Shopify to invite you to the first-ever Neopets pop-up store in New York!  From exclusive Neo York merchandise and item codes to TCG demos and a photobooth, there will be programming all weekend long! 

Visit the Neo York hub page for all the details and live event schedule. Don’t forget to arrive on time, as the first 500 visitors each day will receive an exclusive in-game item code!

Contests & Spotlight Update

We recently renovated one of Neopia’s most popular contests: the Customisation Spotlight. In addition to a new avatar and trophies,  voting has been updated to be more transparent and user-friendly, and Styling Studio now has its own category! 

Most notably, we will be throwing extra special themed contests twice a month (with extra special prizes!), so look forward to entering the first themed contest soon!

Petpetpet Takeover!

Petpetpets have taken over Neopia! Open a Life-Size Petpetpets Mystery Capsule to receive a P3 themed wearable like an outfit that turns your pet into a little Cherise or cozy foreground. Have a petpetpet attached to your pet that you want removed? Try a Pest Removal Potion from Kauvara's Magic Shop or a Pest Removal Shampoo from the NC Mall! 

NeoPass Polls Update

Your voice matters in Neopia! Our new polling system allows us to hear directly from players, and your votes will help us make more informed decisions and make developmental priorities as we continue improving the Neopets experience.

5 brand-new polls covering topics like Premium, NC Mall Releases, mobile page conversions, and the Neopets homepage is now live!

Styling Studio

Mamma mia, here we Darigan! All previous Darigan poses & prismatics will be making their way into the Styling Studio this month, alongside brand new Baby Mutants and select new mutant poses!

In addition, don’t forget about Umbra’s new Deluxe Prismatic Brush, which lets you choose which prismatic colour you can acquire! Tons of previous Prismatics, as well as some new Alien colours, are still available in the Styling Studio until August 14th.

Gongcha x Neopets in Canada!

After making waves across the United States and Eastern Canada earlier this year, Neopets x Gong cha is back for another round of refreshing drink delights! This time, we’re heading west with a brand-new Summer Splash theme, four limited-edition drinks, more collectible merchandise as well as new virtual prizes to bring home to Neopia.

From now through August 30, 2026, visit a participating Gong cha location across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba to join the fun! 

Makeship: Return to the Ice Caves with Hannah and Kanrik! ❄️

Neopians, the Ice Caves are calling.. Have you answered the call for adventure yet?

Neopia is about to POP because Funko is HERE!

Four familiar faces are getting the full Funko treatment! 

Aisha, Cybunny, Kacheek and Shoyru are joining the new Funko POP! Games: Neopets collection, complete with their most iconic features, adorably oversized heads, iconic Funko vibes and plenty of personality.

The collection arrives this August, and pre-order is available now through participating retailers, including Amazon, PopMarket, and more! You can also keep an eye out at your local Funko stockist, or shop them in person at our pop-up store in New York. 

New Tales of Dacardia Build

Hello Town Planners! Big things are coming to Tales of Dacardia this month. With Usukicon gearing up, Dacardia has decided to get in on the fun! An all-new Donation Drive with Usuki-themed prizes is on its way, but that's not the only storm that's coming: a strange ship has been spotted on the horizon, and it seems to be bringing new quests, new resources, and new friends…

Meet the Captain of the Salty Slorg, play the all-new Cannon Cove minigame, and collect more Dacardite Stones in Tales of Dacardia's August update! (And don't forget to get those donations in!)

Faerie Fragments

Tia’s Seasonal Exchange is back again in Faerie Fragments and runs through August 20. Play Match 3 levels to earn Bronze Coins, then trade them in at the Event Shop for Usukicon-themed rewards with doll-collecting flair, and show-stopping styles before the event ends.

The Event Shop stays open until August 27, with limited weekly restocks available while the event is live. Link your Faerie Fragments account to NeoPass to claim Neopets.com rewards, including the free Faerie Croissant!

San Diego Comic-Con Recap 🎬

The Neopets Team had a blast meeting so many Neopians at our SDCC booth and beach party! From an arcade community meetup and a line wrapping around the booth for our artist signing to all the Baby Plushie unboxing madness, it was truly one for the books. SDCC is one of our favourite conventions to attend, and for those who couldn’t make it this year… we’ll see you at our New York pop-up store in August!
