Festival of Fears: Neopets’ Halloween Event Grows Bigger in 2025

The Festival of Fears ushers in nine days of spooky celebration on Neopets.com, from October 23rd to 31st, bringing new twists to classic Halloween fun. Now it is your last chance! This year, Reginald invites players into his library, the event’s new interactive hub, to collect scary stories, track activities, and test their haunted knowledge with trivia for special rewards.

Event Highlights

• Interactive Hub: Centralize your progress, revisit old stories, access Halloween activities, and check goodie bag and trivia status—all hosted by Reginald in his library.
• Scavenger Hunt: Discover 7 hidden goodie bags across the site, unlocking a new scary story each day. Correctly answering trivia after reading stories earns you extra treats, and for collectors, empty bags can be kept as souvenirs.
• Revamped Activities: Classic features like the Brain Tree, Esophagor, Edna’s Tower, and Apple Bobbing receive Halloween makeovers, some with permanent updates and others exclusive to the festival.
• Premium Perks: Neopets Premium members receive exclusive prizes with every goodie bag and can unlock even more by signing up before the event ends.

Haunted Mansion: NC Mall Tie-In

Running alongside the main event, the Haunted Mansion at the NC Mall (October 16–31) lets players use Afterlife Tickets to unlock, light up, and reset mansion rooms for unique prizes and customization items. This year introduces new rewards and the ability to revisit favorite rooms for additional prizes.

Neopets: Faerie Fragments Creativity Contest

Don’t miss your last chance to win exclusive prizes in the Neopets: Faerie Fragments Customisation Contest! Show off your creativity, submit your entry by October 31, 2025.

How to enter:

• Download and play Neopets: Faerie Fragments.
• Post your Faerie Fragments art, memes, cosplay, screenshots or other creative works on Instagram, X, or TikTok.
• Tag your post with #Neopets and #FaerieFragmentsContest and follow the official Neopets account.
• Make sure your account is public.

All entries must be original and related to Faerie Fragments. One entry per person, no adult content.

A spectacular meteor shower marks the first anniversary of Faerie Fragments! From October 16 to November 13, 2025, join the Sky of Wishes event for exclusive rewards, in-game bonuses, and special festivities honoring your journey on New Faerieland.

Looking to make your questing journey a bit smoother? Two new features can help you get more done with less stress:

• Double Time Premium Perk: Available to all Neopets Premium subscribers, this perk doubles the time to complete certain site quests, starting with Illusen’s Glade and Jhudora’s Bluff.
• Double Time Fortune Cookie: This NC Mall item grants the same time-doubling benefit for select quests, lasting one week per activation, a great option for non-premium players who want extra flexibility.

NYC Meetup: Scavenger Hunt Adventure - Bella Azbug Park 

A huge thank you to everyone who came out on October 10th to join us at Bella Abzug Park for our NYC Meetup: Scavenger Hunt Adventure! 

We’re especially grateful to our amazing hosts, Jeran and Corvus Cantum, for guiding the hunt and bringing the fun rain or shine (though we’re glad the weather held out).

To everyone who stopped by the Neopets Community Meetup at RetroGameCon: thank you for making it such a memorable and heartwarming experience!

It was incredible to meet so many passionate Neopians in person. We loved seeing you connect with fellow community members, dive into puzzles and challenges, and share stories about your favorite pets, plots, and proudest in-game moments (yes, those high avatar counts).

One of the highlights? The Neopets Team had the joy of meeting a multigenerational Neopian family! Grandparents, parents, and kids who’ve been playing together for 25 years! It’s moments like these that remind us just how special this community is and how deeply Neopia continues to bring people together across generations.
